I don't really think I stand a chance at the first 3, but am gonna apply there just to please my parents. Also, I plan on majoring in Computer Engineering at the first 5 universities and plan on applying for General Engineering at UIUC. I think Indiana will be my safety and I will apply for their finance program. I hope to go into investment banking one day.

that 36 is sure alluring... but your GPA and ECs are lackluster. i say no for MIT and Caltech (cause you don't have the awards like USAMO or INTEL). but i think you're in for the rest

Thanks for the input firefox. I didn't think I had much of a chance ay MIT or CalTech either. My top school is UVa but I am OOS. Do they still have an ED plan or did they cancel it?

don't worry. you're in for UVA even if you only apply regular

Good to know firefox. I was able to visit the UVa campus over spring break and LOVED it!

Anyone else?

Don't worry about investment banking, the recent statistic says that 98.23% of people on this board will not get into it.

I pretty much agree with firefox. Great ACT, Good SAT2 scores, Decent rank, decent ECs. Maybe 1 acceptance letter from MIT/Caltech and in at the rest.

I agree with llpitch, btw why do u think u dont stand a chance at cornell? Your test scores are far above the avg at cornell.I think ull get into all but caltech, i dont think they accept the act.
