Chances for usc

I attend an out of state college. I have a gpa of 3.2. i ll have about 60 credits at the end of the year. Major is psychology and probably premed. In the catalog, it said that all you need is an intorductory to psych class and calculus. I will fulfill those class by the end of the year. Any chances?

The average transfer GPA is 3.57, and 60 credits may be out of their typical range, but if you really have your heart set on it, then give it a shot. However, it's going to be tough...

Best of luck :)

60 credits dude...idk about transfering, that's steep dude

whats the deal with 60 credits?

Most schools have a range of credits they will allow, and if you go above it, then your application goes to the head of the department your majoring in for approval, which probably isn't a good thing.

However, you should visit the USC website and see what the cutoff is. Could even be 64.

what if i decrease the amount of classes i take next semester?

I wouldn't recommend you do that. You should graduate as soon as you can and save the money. Just apply now, because the more credits you get from here, the more difficult it will be. And you're already looking at tough competition as it is.

However, if you can move the GPA up to 3.5 by the time you graduate (you've still got 1/2 of your total GPA left), I'd say you have MUCH better shot doing grad. work there. And if you're interested in being a psychologist, there's much more work to be done past a bachelors lol.

USC essays are so easy!

What are the prompts? I'm also eyeing the school for transfer in the distant future...

You can check out the prompts on their website.
