I live in state.

I have taken 10 aps- ap calculus bc, ap chemistry, 2 ap Englishes, 3 ap histories, ap environmental science, ap statistics, ap physic
4.9854 out of 5 GPA
In the top quarter of my class
strong essays
applied October 15th
Already accepted to A&M biomedical engineering as well as UTD and Baylor.

please chance me, thank you.

what’s your exact ranking/percentile?

my school doesn’t rank past top 10%

It’s kind of hard to say. Considering that most of the applicants who are accepted are in the top 5% in their class (look at UT Austin’s BME undergraduate website) and a considerable percentage are valedictorians and salutatorians (most of these people’s national standardized test scores are probably in the 99th percentile, also), your chances are really a hit or miss. Hopefully, you get in. Apparently, there will be a large wave coming in on the upcoming Friday. Let us know if you get accepted into the program. Good luck.

thank you

can anyone else give their input?

ACT is below average and class rank isn’t the best, but obviously quantitative factors aren’t everything. While BME is one of Cockrell’s more selective majors, you still have a shot if you had solid essays and ECs. Good luck!

i have pretty strong essays and over 150 volunteer hours and strong extra curriculars

Nice! A lot of people with better stats got rejected, so I just didn’t want to give you false hope
