Chances for UT Austin

<p>Hey guys, I was wondering if I had any hope of getting into UT austin's Mccombs school of business for finance or if i could get into the econ program. </p>

<p>GPA : 3.7 unweighted
class rank: 40/443
ACT: 29
IB student
out of state
Essays were good
Officer positions with FBLA
Lots of Volunteer hours
Junior Achievement's Business week Second place
Officer positions with indian cultural organizations
letters of recommendation from business teacher and math teacher
Worked at Taco Bell </p>

<p>If you guys waant more info, just ask. I just listed stuff off the top of my head haha sorry</p>

<p>McCombs puts a large emphasis on numbers (GPA, class rank, SAT, etc.). I think it is going to be tough for you to get into McCombs, but I think you have a great shot at Economics - College of Liberal Arts.</p>

<p>Your SAT/ACT would be the deciding factor!! Just because it is McCombs!! But in general, you’d get into UT Austin with those stats.</p>
