unfortunatly i did not get into Austin this year and got in the CAP program. Im going to attend UT-San Antonio. I was wondering what my chances are of getting into the business school at Austin with a 3.9 freshman GPA out of the CAP program. Im only automatically admitted to the liberal arts or natural sciences and i want to study business.

I transfered into the B-school from a community college. I had all of the indicator courses(Micro, Macro, BCIS(or MIS), Calculus I) - except Calc 2. Transfering after one year means your going to have to have either a 3.8 or a 4.0 (think about it) - and you'll need a 4.0 to get in. To get in with a 3.8, you'll need about 60 hours and all 5 indicator courses must be completed (you need to have all As in every indicator course, regardless of when you transfer). This is just my experience from the community college admissions process, so i don't know if it will be easier for you b/c of CAP. I would just go to community college if i were you. social life is same and you'll save money. Plus, the classes might(emphasis) be easier.
