Chances for UW Madison, Northwestern, Michigan, UIUC?

Michigan, Northwestern, UIUC - Engineering Physics

EC: 3 years Iowa All-State Band/Orchestra
3 years Des Moines Youth Symphony
Jazz band, marching band, wind symphony (top school band)
4 years Technology Student Association, qualified and placed at State competition 3 years
3 years Math Club
Have been playing piano for 10 years, oboe for 7, saxophone for 6

Work experience: playing the oboe once/twice a week for a church

Unfortunately basically no volunteer work (only about an hour or so of meal packaging)

Cost should not be an issue as my parents are willing to pay for all of it.

What do you guys think about my chances? I’m probably going to apply EA (not for Northwestern). Any comments would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I think you are fine for UIUC and UW-Madison.

You look good for U-Mich. The only question in my mind is if applicants submit AP scores. 3s are good but they also need to correlate with your UW GPA of a 4.0. Perhaps I’m not familiar with your high school grading system.
My sister is at U-Mich and received mostly 4s on her AP exams. Knowing her, she probably submitted the scores to boost her chances of getting into a more select college.
May want to inquire about this.

Northwestern I’m not familiar with.

Also, make sure you start to increase you volunteer hours. Everything else looks great.
