Thoughts and suggestions (still have a year left)?
Thanks in advance

you have basically perfect stats lol, are you sure you aren’t showing off? But it’s still going to come down to essays and recommendations. I have a friend she’s also valedictorian and has 2350+ on her SAT 21 AP classes (no joke, she got 5s on all except 3 because shes taking those this year), president of key club for two/three years, varsity swim 4 years, got essay help from top tier college prep people, godly recs, and she got waitlisted at almost every school she applied to except Caltech, Dartmouth (all the UCs ofc), and a full ride at Vanderbilt (waitlist harvard yale princeton stanford uchicago washu etc etc). So **** happens but honestly it will come down to your essays and recs because you can’t really improve on those other areas and colleges are fickle

yeah well i was going to raise the SAT to 2300+, take some subject tests, and for sure I will focus on the essays. My recs should be really good since my counselor was my counselor since 9th grade and taught me 7th grade english, 1 from my APUSH teacher who is also the varsity football linebacker coach, and 1 from the hospital volunteer director. Any thoughts suggestions on EC and volunteer stuff?

your ECs look solid although they are more of participation than leadership so try to get an officer position in some of your clubs. I can join 100 clubs and it wont look nearly as good as if I’m president or the creator of one or two prestigious clubs and honestly for volunteer just do what you enjoy so that you’ll be able to write about it and that colleges will see that you are committed. It looks like you’re right on track for ivies

Also I’d like to add U penn to that long list, any thoughts would be appreciated

GPA is great…I wish I had 4.0
You’re going to take the SAT again…so hopefully raise it to at least high 2200s and you’ll be fine with that…
Your volunteer hours are going to help a bit, and it looks like you’re a well rounded person from your ECs. I’m not saying being well rounded is bad, but you need at least a couple ECs that really stand out and support your interests.
From this, I can’t tell whether you’re really into soccer, football, track, or if you are pursuing a medical career. My best guess is that you are science-oriented.

Other than that, it is pretty much perfect, and teacher recommendations and your essay often give the edge that you need for admission.
I will be willing to guess that you can get in pretty easily to UCSD and UCLA due to your high GPA… with USC and UC Berkeley I wouldn’t expect guaranteed admission, but a high chance of you getting in. For the rest of the schools, I’d say you’d have a decent chance if you have amazing teacher recommendations and essay.
