*****please chance me I know I don't have much going on...Wellesley, Smith, BC, Vassar, Tufts, Wesleyan, Cornell, Bryn Mawr and any other suggestions!

WILL CHANCE BACK

You’re more likely to get into the MA schools than out of state just because you live there, so that’s definitely a plus. Volunteering, ECs all look good, just the testing scores are the down-points.
Cornell is a high reach; Smith, Wellesley, Vassar are reaches; the rest you should get into- maybe try Hopkins as a high-reach as well, you never know and they have a excellent pre-med program from what I’ve heard. Good luck! :)

bump

bump

Well your SAT could use a boost atleast a 2100 would really help and your ECs arent beast but theyre not bad. Cornell is a crapshoot as any ivy and Wellesley is a reach but its feasible with good recs and an essay. I would focus mainly on your SAT score at this point

What about Brown’s PLME program or other programs of the like?

Seriously interested in Brown’s PLME program. Do I have a chance with a legacy of their med school?

Anyone…?

If you raise your SAT you have a shot at Brown, but as always with the ivies it’s a gamble. But at schools like Wellesley, BC, and Vassar you should be a solid match with a 2100+ SAT score. Also try the ACT, I was MUCH more successful on the ACT than SAT.

I think you have great chances at the schools on your list. The ivies are always unpredictable. Vassar is a high match for sure. The rest seem like matches to me. Get your SAT up a little and you will be set

I think you definitely have a chance but your SATs (I and II) are holding you back. Definitely retake the SAT I and retake some of the SAT IIs/take some more. Other than that you look good for most of the schools. Cornell may still be a slight reach even if you get your scores up.

I’m sure other posts have said this but Ivies are always a gamble you’ll never really know and its worth applying.

I think if you raise your SAT to 2150+ your chances will increase by A LOT

Wellesley - reach
Smith - reach
BC - you’ll get in
Vassar- reach
Tufts - you’ll get in
Wesleyan - not sure
Cornell - bring up the SAT but other than that I think you fit the profile - reach
Bryn Mawr - not sure

Many are reach schools. I would get your SAT/ACT up. Bryn Mawr should be the easiest of them all to get into. Is Tufts supposed to be easy to get into? Or do they place preference on residents in MA? Just wondering because someone suggested that as a match for me… I thought it was a very elite and difficult school to get into.

Also try to find some match schools. In MA, I know BU and Northeastern are very decent. College of the Holy Cross as well. I am applying to Holy Cross and Northeastern as my match schools. Since you’re an MA resident, I’d do the same! narrow your list of schools here as well (this is practically your reach school list, and you want a max of 5-6, obviously to focus on each supplement essay very well to maximize your chances at each. With many reach schools it can become difficult to dedicate a measurable amount of tim to each essay. Good luck with everything! And thank you for chancing me! :)

Wellesley, Reach
Smith, High Reach
BC, Match/ Low Reach
Vassar, Match
Tufts, Reach
Wesleyan, Reach
Cornell, High Reach
Bryn Mawr, No idea

PS my chances are probs more accurate than the others on this thread :)

Chance me back if possible.

You actually have a very good shot at Wellesley. Others you should consider are Tufts University, Brandeis University, Boston College, College of the Holy Cross, and Northeastern University

PLEASE READ:
Also chance me for Brown’s PLME program, GW 7 yr med, or Lehigh/Drexel 7 yr med??

Please read previous post

I think most of the schools (especially Wellesley, Cornell, etc) are reaches for you. Even though Wellesley does heavily weigh the recommendations, essays, ECS, etc your SAT scores and GPA may weigh you down. Perhaps try taking the ACT or studying and retaking the SAT? I will be applying to Wellesley later next month. Best of luck!
