Chances for Yale, U Penn, CMU

I am interested in a possible interdisciplinary, fine art, graphic design, visual communications design etc., BA with a dual BS in computer science.

Yale seems like a reach, but I’d say you are a competitive applicant for CMU & UPenn.

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1542549-chance-me-uva-ucla-usc-barnard-wellesley.html

I forgot that I am going to be a ‘commended merit scholar’, and am waiting to find out if I am a semifinalist (waiting on state cutoffs). Unfortunately, I’m not really qualified to “chance you back”, as I;m not at all familiar with the standards of your schools of interest.

Assuming that you’re applying to an art department, it’s going to come down to how good your portfolio is. If you didn’t know, you’re going to send them like 10 slides of works that you’ve done and they forward it to the art professors who pretty much decide.

You have no standardized tests listed, um that could be a problem. Besides that, your artsyness looks good on paper, no clue if you’re actually competent though. If you are, you’ll get in, if not, you won’t. Sorry, all anyone can really say for you.

^Yeah, what are your SAT/ACT scores? That can make or break college admissions decisions.

Ignore the first page of the link, it’s an anti-testing campaign
