heyy, i was just wondering what my chances of getting into va tech are. i have already applied to va tech's architecture school for interior design, but i really dont think i'll get in.

i have a 1220/1600; 1820/2400 on my SAT's & i have maintained a 3.5 average until this year-- right now tho my gpa is a 4.1 so my cum would be a 3.8 hopefully by the time they review my application in the spring, if i keep my grades up. i go to a private all girl's school, which is really competitive. ive taken a good amount of honors but only one ap (ap lit), and 3-4 art courses over the four years because im really interested in art.

i think i have pretty good extra curricular's, and a lot are relevant to what i want to do in college. i've taken 2 outside art courses at different colleges in philadelphia: one i got a scholarship for one of them. i received a scholarship to spend a month in ireland doing volunteer work this past summer, i've been photo editor for our school newspaper since sophomore year, ive been doing track & xc since soph year (not very good), i volunteered at an animal hospital from 7th-10th grade, ive been in our gold key club since freshman year, i was HOBY ambassador 10th grade, i designed & made our school's xc website, etc.

when i went to visit va tech, i spoke with the head of the architecture dept. and he asked what my sat's & gpa were, and i said like 1220 & a 3.5, and he gave me a skeptical look and said well "transferring in is always another option." i figured that kind of settled it, not getting in, but do i have any chance whatsoever based on my other stuff?

sorry if i made any huge typos !

oh-- i forgot to add that their architecture school is 7th in the country and they only accept around 60 students (according to the director)... so i feel kind of screwed.
