Chances/Help deciding an undergraduate program for international affairs/polisci

<p>Applying (so far) to Georgetown University at the School of Foreign Service</p>

<p>White male
Hispanic (parent born in South America, speak Spanish occasionally at home)
Middle income bracket (no more than 100K)
Award-winning public school in Broward County, Florida</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0, unweighted, all A's since 8th grade. 5.25, weighted (with APs and honors)</p>

<p>Ranked 3 out of 523</p>

<p>Will have taken 16 AP tests upon graduation
Scores so far:
5-AP Calculus AB
5-AP World History
5-AP U.S. History
5-AP English Language and Composition
4-AP Statistics
4-AP Environmental Science
4-AP Spanish Language
4-AP Calculus BC</p>

<p>SAT Scores: taken twice, best score 2250, not superscored
Math: 720
Critical Reading: 770
Writing: 760</p>

<p>SAT II's:
Math II: 730
U.S. History: 770
Spanish: 700 (was really easy, but I messed up, I'm taking it again)</p>

<p>Extra-curricular activities:
400+ service hours, obtained from volunteering at the local hospital and summer camps
3-year member of Debate, semi-finalist at Novice States, over 200 NFL points
Vice President of Debate
Founder and President of the school Chess Club (3 years)
National Honor Society, finalist at county NHS Brain Brawl competition
Project coordinator of Science Club (1 year)
Founded a campaign support group for Barack Obama's presidential campaign, notified members of events, campain bulletins, etc. ... actively campaigned and participated in campaign events</p>

<p>Awards: some awards for academic recognition, essay contests, science fair, etc.</p>

<p>There's some other stuff that I can't really remember right now, but this is the general outline. </p>

<p>Please tell me if I have a chance ... if not, possibly suggest another school with an undergraduate program that specializes in international affairs/political science. Thank you very much!</p>

<p>your exceptional GPA and SAT scores combined with your dedication to volunteering for the community makes you a strong candidate for Georgetown. I think you will get accepted. Maybe you would want to look into UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke as well. Good Luck!</p>
