hi, i've never posted on this site but...im sooo stressed even though im only a junior. i really really want to go to a school like yale but my stats are nothing like everyone elses. the thing is my school doesnt give grades, and i've looked at everyones schedule on here and its full of AP type classes and my school doesnt have any AP classes. we only have 2 advanced classes, both sciences and i didnt take either. but the classes im taking are things im really interested in. im scared that theyll look at my workload and think i have a really artsy schedule instead of a heavy workload. i dont know what to do plz help

You know the saying---when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Make the most of the courses you have available at your school, and augment them with summer or evening classes at your local jr.college. Read the classics, practice creative writing. Be sure to take the PSAT, and sign up to take the SAT or ACT for later your Jr. year. That way you can see what you need to study to improve your scores. Maybe you will surprise yourself, and do well on these tests the first time around and then not feel a need to take them a 2nd time in your senior year.
If you have a dream, work for it, make your dreams all that they can be-because you deserve it! Yale is a wonderful University. They are looking for bright students-prove to them they would benefit from your atttendence.

that's tough, I can sympathize with that. That's just bad luck, but keep your chin up and look to see what you can do. learn some stuff at home and do something very outgoing, like start a program for whatever interests you.
