Any idea that I’ll get into UVM Honors College?
I would suggest taking the SAT/ACT again to try to get your score up. UVM HC says most students admitted have “SAT scores of about 2100 and ACT score in the 31+ range”.
Also, what college/major are you planning to apply to? The HC purposely wants students from the different colleges and different majors…so admission to the HC will be more competitive if you’re, say, a Bio major in Arts & Sciences (all those pre-meds), then if you’re a French or Forestry major.
I’ll be a Psychology major with either a minor in Environmental Studies or that as a second major!
Psych and EnvSt are the 2nd and 3rd most popular majors on campus, in the largest college (A&S) on campus. The competition for HC will be tough.
I got into honors with lesser stats but I also applied to a college that doesn’t have too many people in it (Education & Social Services)
Any sense of where Physics, Philosophy or CS would fit onto this scale in terms of competitiveness of entry into the Honors College?
How is engineering major? Is it competitive too to be considered for Honors College?
