i go to a small private school in central mass.
my gpa (uw) has been a solid 3.45 but i have taken 5 AP classes. my ACT is a 27 (one sitting) and my combined SAT is a 1930. i heard penn state only looks at highest in one sitting so that would be an 1890.

EC's:
-started an international micro finance organization in 9th grade
-head of that club in my school
-head of C.A.R.E (Children's Art and Recreation Experience)= saturday mornings with mentally and physically handicapped children
-Var. Tennis 4 years (cpt. jr and sr)
-swim team for 6 years
-Var. soccer 2 years
-Student Activities Board Representative 3 years

please tell me what you think my chances are of getting into U Park.

ummm probably around a 3.9 if i calculated it right
sophomore year 1 AP=B or 3.0
junior year 2 AP= A and B or 4.0 and 3.0
senior year 2 AP= A and B or 4.0 and 3.0
thats unwieghted how do you calculate weighted?

it says 3.4 for frosh, 3.5 for soph, 3.4 for junior, and about a 3.6 for senior year

will they weight my gpas when they see my AP classes on my transcript in their office? or will they just give me "extra points" for taking 5 AP classes?

They don't do anything. Whatever they see as the final gpa on your transcript is what they will use. It looks like you have somewhere around a 3.43.

i got in! i checked last night just around this time (12:03) and it said congratulations you have been accepted to the college of communications at Penn State University Park for Fall of '09!
I am sooo happy! thanks for all your feedback before it really helped
