drastically slimmer
44% admitted now seen on collegeboard.com
quite a rise in the chances but seriously unsuspected

I just noticed that.
*Sighs

I'm just hoping I get into Summer at best now. :[

Can someone refresh me on what it was before? In the mid 60's right?

I think there are four admission rates at the University of Texas.
Top 10% in the state of Texas - 100% admission rate
Not top 10% in the state of Texas - x% admission rate
Out of state - y% admission rate
International - z% admission rate

And there's an overall admission rate that is not very helpful to know.

^ Yep. :(

Disasterpiece02 - Overall admission was like 52% before.

i wonder what happens with transfers :(

nothing happens with transfers UT sets aside space for transfers that are separate from freshman admissions. If anything, I bet the acceptance rate for freshman decrease BECAUSE they don't touch transfer admissions.

OK, where did you get the info about acceptance percentage again?

in that case, its all good :P

it use to be like 51%
69% of the class were in the top 10 %

now its
75% in the top 10 % of the class

I think 81% of the current freshman came from top 10% of tx high schools.

Yes, 81% of the the 2009 freshman class are top 10%.

US News 2009 national university rankings shows fall 2007 having a 50.7% acceptance rate.
