Chances? Incoming HS Senior

I'm considering apply to Wellesly ED, but I'm not sure my stats are up to par.

I go to a choice school, where it's basically a very small lottery-entry-based school of 6 years, combining junior high and high school. It was ranked on U.S. News' Top High Schools at #29 in 2009 and #32 in 2012, and 2nd best high school in the state of Washington.
High school GPA: 3.66 UW
I've pretty much had a solid 3.9 GPA up until junior year which killed it, so that's my main concern.
Junior year course:
Honors US History
Honors American Literature
Honors Math Analysis
Honors World Art History
AP Biology
Business Law

EC:
Associated Student Body - grade senator
Future Business Leaders of America - state competitor
Key Club - several community service projects
Mock Trial Club - state competitor
National Honor Society

Volunteer:
Volunteer Coordinator at Sammamish Farmer's Market
Participant in NHS Haunted Halls
Volunteer at Bumbershoot Music Festival

My school doesn't rank, I'm an Asian female, and I'm not very athletic

I'm confident that I can get good recommendation letters.

Thank you!

Hi! If you’re sure that Wellesley is your #1 choice, I would definitely apply ED. I’ve heard that you have a better chance of getting in by applying ED. I, however, applied EE.

Your GPA is a little lower than average for Wellesley but that doesnt account for your entire application. You have a few community service and extracurricular activities but if possible, I would suggest taking more leadership in your activities. Colleges, including Wellesley, like to see commitment (participation in activities for a long period of time) as well as leadership (so not only participating in something).

I’m from Washington as well (I’m an incoming Wellesley freshman), but I went to a not-competitive-at-all high school in Renton. Sounds like you go to a really good school so that may be able to account for your GPA.

You have a chance, but make sure you make the most of the 1st semester of your senior year! Good luck!

I agree entirely with Priscilla. Your extracurriculars look good, and you’ve taken a challenging course load, which Wellesley likes to see. Do your best during senior year and make sure your application essays are strong. Good luck!
