First interview went really well---he was really excited (>1 hour), and then he called my mom and my brother to come up to his place so he can meet them, too. (Is that normal??; also he said that he would really try to get me in and he even warned my aunt that she would have to miss me now....)

Great personal life history~
-Thanks for your opinion

If this is true, why are you also posting on the College Boards, asking about admission into Harvard and Stanford?

which school was this?

It's for the younger brother of the person who usually posts under tentash2002. He mentions the schools in his post (line 3), but in other communications he has indicated he was applying to:

Exeter
Andover
Choate
Lawrenceville
Deerfield
Hotchkiss

My cynical reaction to the "I'll try to get you in" comment (after the "Yeah, right!" reaction) is why does the interviewer think this applicant needs a champion in his corner? Most of the interviewer reactions I read about are much more positive, with them coming right out and telling the applicants they're "in." Here the interviewer says he'll work to help. Relative to the standard post-interview feedback reported here, this is frightful.

If you have those stats, why would you repeat the 10th grade? Even if you'd have to work a little harder junior year, I think you could do it without repeating a year!

He is repeating, because he skipped the 6th grade.

What languages does he speak? Just wondering, lolz.
