so what are my chances to get into these schools?
i haven't had my andover, deerfield, or sps interview yet but
my exeter interview was great.
i studied in peru last semester and got all "20s" transposed to usa a's
the first semester of ninth grade i got all a's as well.
a's and b's eighth grade
all a's except one b which i might be able to make an a (this semester- 10th grade)
i started my own club, i'm part of gsa, drama club, math team, and i'm
starting the debate team
i was part of the swim team last year
i'm in two orchestras, i play the cello, other than school
i'm taking my ssat jan.10, i can probably get a good score like 90th-percentile
i'm peruvian-american. i speak english, spanish and moderate french
i have really good rec. especially from my e/c
i volunteer at a home for youth sometimes during the summer, i'm part of the unitarian church youth group. i was part of three symphonies last year and i helped build houses in peru.
the only thing i'm worried about is my b from this semester. other than that, could i get in?

written, it looks amazing, but 'part of swim team last year' probably won't cut it unless you're planning to continue (wise words from mmoynan).
1 B this semester i don't think will cost you a spot, but i do know that most boarding schools are much more rigorous, so you should be confident in your academic abilities.
peruvian-american? i think that should be a hook. but if you're international, that'll make the process even harder (like if you don't have an american passport).

i still think you stand a good chance. but i think almost everybody has a good chance, so i'm probably not all-too-reliable.. :P
