great chance, keep it up

Keep up the good grades; colleges hate to see a declining trend. You should aim to take more AP courses than that, especially if you attend a competitive high school. Are you taking a math course junior year?

Other than that, you're on that right track!

actually my high school is one of those "unknown" ones in the middle of nowhere, where 1-2 people can make it to an ivy league...if at all.

um...i'm taking regular Stats and Prob. my junior yr...i would take AP Stats and Prob. then too, however, i can't seem to cram it into my schedule.
O, and i forgot to add: AP Lit senior yr.

Speaking of AP's, how many AP's does UPenn usually look for in their applicants?

Rural and Maryland may help, may not. Penn sees a lot of applications from our state, but a lot in my area (Montgomery County/DC suburbs) so being from the middle of nowhere may sepparate you from the applicants form my area. About APs, Penn wants to see that you are taking hard classes offered by your school, so if your school offers 5, try to take all 5. If your school offers over 20, Penn does not expect you to take them all. Also, if out of the 5 APs offered, if 3 are in languages you don't study, Penn won't penalize you for that either. I came from a school offering 20+ APs and only took 7. I have classmates who took 7 in one school year (he is going to Yale).

would penn accept calc. III?

A little early to be talking about this. Try to get the SAT's up - they get a lot of Asian applicants so above 2100 would be preferable - 2200 wouldn't hurt either. Play up the hip hop dancing - they'll like that. Play down the piano - too stereotypical Asian. Overall you want to "sell" yourself as not being exactly like the other several thousand Asian applicants that they get.

lol, thx guys!

any more suggestions?

much appreciated!
