<p>Hey I know these things are annoying, but I need a ballpark estimate on my chances for Cornell RD CAS.</p>

[</em>] GPA: 3.8 uw, 4.0 w
[<em>] Rank: top 10% (idk 40/520)

[<em>] ECs listed on app: NHS, CSF, Captain of Robotics Team, 4+ years of Jazz Band, 2 years JV tennis (lol), Guitar Instructor, Math Club, Taken college math/physics classes with B's and A's.
[</em>] Job/Work Experience: Internship at electronics company for a month.
[<em>] Essays (subject and responses): Ha... the Cornell one sucked. This is going to hurt me. The commonapp one, however, was quite good imo.

[<em>] Counselor Rec: Idk. He doesn't know me that well, so I'd say sub-par.

<p>General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: Already got into Berkeley and UCLA, rejected from CMC and UChicago. Would be nice to get into Cornell! If I don't get in, then I'm going to Berkeley for sure.</p>

<p>Oh and I applied under Economics and wrote a crappy essay about my love of economics (lol).</p>

<p>Dude, this is weird. We have almost the EXACT same stats. We even took the same subject tests I have a 34 act too, 710 USH SATII, 720 Physics, 780 M2. I have a 3.8 weighted gpa, but my school is a private episcopal and very challenging school. I also feel my Cornell essay sucked. You probably have better ECs. We even both play tennis (3 years varsity). I got waitlisted at UChicago though. I applied under some kind of biological science unfortunately.</p>

<p>Basically i'm really interested in your result because mine will probably be similar and then we can really see if the admissions committee is consistent.</p>
