Hello there, graduate from the Art Institutes of Raleigh Durham here.

Long story short, in a few months I will get a BFA degree in Web Design and Interactive Media, but in mid-quarter, I discovered that I LOVE motion graphics and animation / special fx. Unfortunately my school lacks such a degree for it, so I'm now on the hunt in possibly getting a MFA in this field. And I noticed that NC State and UNC were prospects in terms of the programs they offer (may the rivalry begin? lol)

Anyway I've already applied to UNC since they offered a free waiver with the common application (blame me!) and got that: "Thank you for submitting your application to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We look forward to learning more about you in the months ahead. " Letter, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't 100% guarantee that I've been accepted.

Oh and another problem, due to a certain teacher (name and address withheld) who had a record of failing 95% of his students, I've been privileged with an unimpressive average GPA of 3.28. Have my chances been blown?

If so, what other colleges would you guys recommend for me so I can one day conquer the world with some new-age animation goodness of a potential cgi film in the next 10-15 years? I've fallen short in my research of North Carolina's colleges that specializes in motion graphics (apart from State's design school if i remember correctly) but I'm not sure if I will have any success. Anyone who's been through this dilemma or can help with this issue I'm having?

Many Thanks!
