Chances of acceptance to some colleges?

Hi there. I'm a junior in high school right now and I just got my ACT scores back and have been thinking about college admissions and whatnot.

Rank (as of now) 1/500 (tied with five others)
My uw GPA is 4.0
ACT: 30 (32E, 30M, 30R, 26S)
AP's: APUSH, CHEM, CALC, ENGLISH, and possible BIO
expecting to get 4's and 5's on the tests.
I will also have taken a few dual enrollment courses

EC's:

4 years of tennis
3 years of student congress
4 years of chess club (state qualifying)
4 years of academic team
around 30 volunteer hours at a local hospital
NHS member
2 years of Link Crew (to help out freshmen)
Started a recycling club

Some of the schools I am looking into include:
UIUC (state school)
Stanford
Northwestern
Michigan
Columbia
UPenn
potentially other Ivies and similar schools.

I am interested in Bioinformatics and plan on going to med school.
Could you also give me a few schools that offer bioinformatics undergrad programs?

Please and Thank you, greatly appreciated.

bumppppppppppppppppppp

bummmmmmppp

no ivies with your current ACT scores

UIUC non-engineering: Safety
UIUC engineering: Match
UMI Ross/engineering: Match
UMI regular: Low match

Everyone else is a reach.

Alright, and are the schools that I matched with any good in the sciences? Like, I know what rankings may show, but they are not always accurate. I plan on going to med school, but don’t really know a major as yet. Bioinformatics, from what I know, is only a graduate level subject.

i agree with catria here. you could go into a general bio major or a biomedical major.

chance me back bud?

Take the SATS a couple of times and get a good feel for your range. You have time to increase your potential an look for more colleges, work hard junior year. All are reach schools for any student

GPA is really the only thing that stands out about this application. I can’t imagine you distinguish yourself from the tons of other 4.0 GPA kids out there. Michigan you should be fine, Northwestern is a high match as well, Columbia iffy and the rest I don’t know.
