Chance me please!

I'm currently a junior in a public high school near the suburbs of Chicago and I've been looking at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and a few other colleges. I was wondering what my chances are for admittance.

Major: Bioengineering
Minor: Computer Science

Race: White
Gender: Female
ACT: 31 in February, but I'm taking a prep course to try for a 33+ in June
GPA: 3.9 Unweighted (B in first semester of APUSH, brought up to an A second semester)
Rank: 16/546*
Summer Classes: Consumer Management, Economics, Government, Speech (all graduation requirements)

*My class rank dropped because I took summer classes to fit CS into my schedule and my school counted the summer classes as core courses.
APs (Ones that I will have taken by the time I graduate): Human Geography, US History, English Language, English Literature, Spanish Language, Computer Science, Biology, Calculus AB
(I've also taken Honors Chem, Physics, and Bio)

ECs:
Chamber Orchestra (Section Leader)
Orchestra Board Secretary and Media/Website Manager
Business Professionals of America (Qualified for 2013 nationals in Florida)
Foreign Language Club
Student Ambassador
Science Club
Math Team
Honor Societies for Spanish, Social Studies, English, Math, Science, and National Honors Society
Part-Time Job at Marshalls (10-20 hours per week)
Jr. Commissioner on Village Board to promote volunteerism in my community

Volunteer Work:
Historical Society Volunteer
Hospital Volunteer
Library Summer Volunteer
(about 50 hours each per year)

Summer Activities (2013):
Working at Marshalls, Taking a summer class called "Introduction to Electricity" (not a graduation requirement), Volunteering, Attending a summer camp for girls interested in Engineering at UIUC

Also, if anyone can suggest any other schools please feel free to mention them. :)
Thanks!

GPA/rank is in range, ACT is weak for bioengineering. Being female provides a little help. Nevertheless, bioE is the hardest engineering program to get into and those that do usually have 33 or above ACT and better than top 5% class rank. Even raising ACT to that still means less than 50% chance and no one should assume they have higher than that much of a chance. They admit with the goal of getting about 30 enrollments so those actually admitted are less than 60. Many who apply bioE actually get into engineering but are admitted to an alternate program.

Thanks for the response. I’ll definitely try to raise that ACT score. I’m also considering majoring in computational biology instead of BME major/computer science minor. I know UIUC has a computational bio program, but do you know how strong it is? Thanks!

You are in-state and you are in the 75th percentile. You are in but you might have to choose a different major…

As drusba notes, bioengineering is really tough.
