Chances of acceptance?

Hi! I'm a high school senior and I hope to go to Santa Cruz next year. If anyone has any input on how likely it is that I will get accepted based on my statistics, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

3.5 GPA
1970 SAT (retaking in October, so the score might go up)

Extracurriculars:
Varsity soccer for 3 years
Club soccer for 12 years
Choir for 10 years
School choir for 4 years
Volunteer work at choir offices and homeless meal centers

Jobs:
Choir teaching assistant (~2 hours week)
Part of a professional singing group for restaurants and parties (~8-10 hours per week during the holiday season)

I say you have a good chance getting in to UCSC. For me I applied to to UCR, UCM, UCLA, and UCI. I got in all except UCLA of course. and I had 3.9 GPA, 13400 SAT, Senior Class President, and co founder of civil and human rights after school club. So you are way more than competitive. Just get your personal statement to identify who you are and what you will contribute to the school profile. I’m not good at personal statements but I do know you want to stand out to the readers.

Good Luck to you!

UCSC is not a competive school with ~65% students accepted. It’s safe to say you have a guaranteed admission.
