Also, what do people suggest doing in order to get my SAT scores up? i tried using a book with practice tests before the first one but it didn't work to well

anyways, just let me know if i have any chance at all. lol, thanks in advance

Well, first of all I would just like to say that the college admission process is very unpredictable so don't be upset if you don't get into your first choose. And second, i would like to say that you chances are decent. Not great but at the same time far from bad. Your SAT score really helps you out because you GPA is....low. Its cool that you have taken honors but i believe that AP classes help you out more. Another thing that would be great is if you could do the dual enrollment program if your school offers it. The dual enrollment program is where you simply take class at a college of your choicing while at the same time taking some class at your high school. College love this plus you get college credit as long as you pass the class. My only advice to improve your score in the CR section is just to read other a lot of passages to get familar with how the question go. So, for my final words, I think you have ok shots at UGA, if you are good at sports then that will help a million but if not don't think you have a sure shot because from what i see you only have you SAT score to raise you above other people. You should really try to get a 4.0 you first semester as a senior, it will help a lot. One last question how are in attending an "elite" private school in Massachusetts if you are in the top 10% with a 3.19 GPA.

my graduating class only has about 85 people in it. i am not positive about the top 10% as my school does not tell me but i know it is somewhere between 10-20 just from dealing with the rest of my class

Hi! I am a Jew too and looking to go to UGA in the 2007 year. Try taking the ACTs.

I think you are ok. Prove to UGA that you can pay and you will most likely get in. I believe they accepted a kid from Rhode Island last year with a 1650 or something. Even if you get deferred early you have a great chance for regular decision.
