<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I applied for Emerson recently as a Communications Studies major as a transfer student. The catch, however, is that I was a Theater and Theater Tech major at my previous school, and thus the only classes I have to speak of fall under that category. </p>

<p>I had actually applied to Emerson as a Theater Studies major, but made the switch to Communications earlier this week. </p>

<p>My high school GPA is a 2.99, while my college one is at a 3.7 (after one semester). </p>

<p>My SAT scores are in the 1700s (I forget the specifics) and I know that I'm not too proud of it. </p>

<p>That being said...what are my chances...?</p>

<p>I don’t really know how transfers work at Emerson but I was admitted as a first time undergrad with a 3.3 UW high school GPA and a 1770 SAT. My stats were on the low side of their standards but I wrote really awesome essays. I’m not sure if it’s easier or harder to transfer in so I guess I’m really not much help.</p>
