Emerson College as a transfer student?

Emerson has been my dream school for quite a while now. I wasn't very on top of the college application process in high school, and Emerson is quite expensive, so I ended up at a state school. I applied to Emerson last year but I withdrew my application because I wasn't able to make the interview because my parents were having a hard time financially and no one could take the day off of work. I was just wondering what my odds are at getting into Emerson in the theatre design/tech BFA program? What kind of college GPA do I need to keep for this year? My SAT's were 1680, would it be beneficial to retake them? I plan on doing everything I can to get into/afford this school, and I was just wondering how difficult getting in as a transfer student is. Be honest.
And while I'm here, how is housing and financial aid? What are my chances of getting housing as a transfer?

Someone? Anyone?

No one? :(

I know this your thread was posted months ago but hopefully you get this message. I’m planning to apply as a transfer to Emerson also, did you check out Collegeboard? They gave you the middle 50% average of what students scored on the SAT and it looks like your SAT score is right in that area.

On the Emerson website, they said that most students who successfully transferred in had around a 3.0 GPA in college so if you shoot for a gpa slightly above that then you’re in good shape. Of course, I’m not a student at Emerson but this the information I was able to gather from Collegeboard and the Emerson College website.

I have a friend that goes to Emerson and he’s paying for $30,000 a year. So yeah…yikes but he told me that a lot of other people there are given a lot of financial aid so he must be one of the unlucky ones. Hope this helps!
