can someone help me out?

You can’t apply as a freshman. Once you’ve enrolled in any college after high school, you’re considered a transfer student.

If your current college work is solid, you’ve got a good shot.

no im being put in as a freshman they pushed my admissions date to spring sem 08

So what you’re saying is that you applied as a freshman, was deferred to spring 08 so you decided to take some classes at the community college? That makes sense - smart choice! Make sure you send in your transcripts.

Also, call the admissions officer - you might be able to change your application to transfer status which will certainly improve your chances of getting in. State universities have a habit of encouraging local community college transfers by giving them high priority in admissions.

yeah well i didnt want to waste any time.. but i got a counselor rec from my high school counselor.. i thought transferring was harder then applying as a frosh?

the thing im worried about is that F i got second sem

Markus: To private schools and Ivies and whatnot, that’s true. But state universities generally encourage community college transfer students, as they’ve gotten a big chunk of their education done at a lower cost to the state’s taxpayers, and along the way they’ve proven their ability in college-level coursework. It’s also a lower-cost path to a four-year degree for students, and so promotes access to education for people of modest means.

The University of California system explicitly puts junior-level community college transfer applicants first in line for all available slots. For example, of the 20,200 California community college applicants last year, 82.5 percent were accepted to at least one UC campus. Obviously, that’s a way better acceptance rate than freshman apps.
