Intended major?

@Gumbymom

Hi, thanks for showing some interest!

This is what I got from Rogerhub:

Unweighted GPA: 3.97
Weighted GPA: 4.45
Weighted and Capped GPA: 4.18

I haven’t settled on a major yet, but I’m considering psychology, biology or marketing.

@Gumbymom Sorry, I accidentally included by 9th grade grades when calculating the weighted and capped GPA. It is actually a 4.33.

You are obviously a well qualified and competitive applicant but I have some comments and suggestions I would alike to add.

Regarding chances to the UC’s, you should get acceptances to most if not all the UC’s. UCLA/UCB are always tough admits and definitely not guaranteed. I would remove UC Merced from your list, since you look ELC eligible if you are a CA resident, so UCM would be guaranteed and a waste of an application fee.

Regarding the Ivy League schools, no one can be chanced on these schools and all should be considered a Reach. Applying to all of the Ivies, makes me think you have not done your homework and are just looking for prestige. All are very different campuses with different “vibes” and academic attributes. I would schedule visits to see which schools would be a good fit for you in terms of environment/academics and social feel.

Two glaring omissions from your list are USC and Stanford. USC looks like a solid option with a chance for some decent merit aid. Stanford is an obvious choice if you are targeting Ivy type schools.

Will all schools be affordable since you did not list income and budget limits?
