My daughter has applied for fall 2018 at Texas A&M College Station. She is currently 10.12% of her class. On the website it says students must be in the top 10% to be automatically admitted. When we visited the campus they told us that they actually admitted up to 10.49% automatic admissions. Her application has been submitted and it says complete and under review. I noticed many post that said the howdy portal went from 3 tabs to 6 indicating admittance. Can anyone else relate to these circumstances?
@txkagmom In the past, the movement of the 3 tabs to 6 usually indicated that their AIS portal will soon update with their admissions decision. Those who applied at the open are probably seeing the movement and their AIS will update when the university actually makes it official.
With the new application open date of July 1, it is unsure how soon the AIS will update. In the past, when apps opened August 1, it was around the first week of October before we heard of auto admits being officially admitted. My own applied mid Oct (class 2020) and it was about 2-3 weeks for his AIS to update.
