It would be voluntary response bias if I had phrased my post in a way that would cause you to pick different schools. The results of the senior have not been revealed and there is no indication whether the results are surprising or typical. As I said before, I modeled my post to resemble an typical chance me post.

Your experiment was ruined from the point in which you told us it was an experiment, regardless of any kind of information you might have ommitted. You don’t do tell us what you’re doing. You simply post the stats and ask us to chance as if you were the applicant, then, once you’ve collected your results, you tell us it was an experiment. Have you heard about Blondlot’s N-Rays? If you haven’t, look it up. You might find it interesting.

Oh, and by the way, I suck at chances, so I’ll refrain from doing it. I’m just here because your experiment caught my eye.

The OP is not preforming an experiment by its literal definition; he is simply recreating the situations that many people encounter during these chance me threads and trying to figure out how accurate they really are. I think its a great idea.

Thanks for the response Knockaround. Guitar500, I agree with you a little actually. I shouldn’t have put the word experiment in the title. It might shift people’s expectations. But, at the same time, I don’t know if it would significantly affect it because you guys don’t know what the actual results are nor do you know what I am looking for.

I think this is an awesome thread, it shows us how accurate these chance threads are, as for my predictions:
