in a few school clubs related to my prospective major. president of 1.

intern at a music camp last summer and at the office of a local politician, who wrote me a letter of rec.

took 6 classes at local community college over summer breaks.

courseload: 2 APs sophomore year, 4 junior year, 4 senior year. all the rest honor classes.

I know this isn’t much info but I just want to get some sense of where I am in the spectrum. I already have a lot of schools in mind and this is one of the most competitive so I want to know if applying is worthwhile. Thanks!

I would definitely say that applying is worthwhile. the Claremont consortium is known for being a kind of “crapshoot” in the admissions game- you never know what they are going to want in a given year. However, your GPA and ACT are very high, which is very beneficial. CMC particularly likes initiative, so the community college courses are a great addition to your resume. I think you should definitely apply.
