Chances of ED I Admission to Vanderbilt?

Hi everyone! I know that it’s hard to accurately determine my chances of admission to Vandy, but I am very curious as to how good my chances are at being admitted to Vanderbilt into the class of 2024! I am planning on applying ED I to the Peabody School as a Human and Organizational Development major!

GPA: 3.8 uw 4.6 w
Course Load: Increased over the years; 1 honors Freshman year, 3 honors Sophomore, year 3 AP and 1 Honors Junior year, and I am scheduled to take 4 APs and 1 honors senior year

ECs:

  • Manager at local business in my town

  • Vice President of the INTERACT Community Service Club
    -Founder/Co-President of community outreach program
    -Secretary of Entrepreneurship Club
-Treasurer of Junior Statesman of America

Like I said before, I know there is no way to accurately determine my chances of admission, but any advice as to how to strengthen my application would help! Thanks in advance!

I think they are quite good. ED1 will help but the piece you need to concentrate on now are your essays.

Yes, you are definitely within striking distance just looking at the raw data. Absolutely, if this is your first choice school, apply ED. But you already know that. The big question is whether YOU get accepted. That’s a whole other story. Your grades and test scores as well as difficulty of curriculum will be assessed. Are you top 1-5 in you class? Top 5%, 10%? Are you taking as many APs and taking what are considered the tough APs like Calc? Will you recommendations say you are one of the best students, a stand out? These things all count.

Have you looked at Naviance for your high school to get an idea what students are getting into which schools with your Gpa and test scores? That will give you a good picture of your chances especially if there are a number of kids who applied to Vanderbilt in the past several years
