Chances of getting accepted as a spring transfer?

Rutgers NB is my dream school, but because of my parents, I will be currently attending University of the Sciences in Philadelphia as a pharmacy major in the fall. I've applied to RU last fall and got accepted for SAS. I had a 3.6 u/w gpa, a 4.5 weighted gpa, and a 1650 on the sat which is a little low. I've also taken honor and AP courses at my highschool. I had many leadership positions and was involved extra curriculars.

I was just wondering how often does Rutgers NB accept freshmen transfer students for the spring semester? I really wish to attend RU and get out of USciences ASAP but I'm not really sure what the chances are of the school accepting me. My original plan was to apply to Rutger's business school but they only attend in the fall semester, they don't allow any spring transfers... so I'm going to try to apply to SAS and then do a school transfer to business for the fall of 2012.

If anyone can give me any input or advice on spring transfers, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

You should have a good chance of getting in since you were already accepted in the first place. However, make sure you achieve a 3.5+ GPA at USP because they will weigh college GPA more than HS gpa and SAT scores. They will most likely ask for your transcript at USP before they can make a decision.

FYI, you are NOT going to be able to transfer straight into the business school with just 1 semester of college. You need to have completed all the necessary prerequisites such as (business stats, financial accounting, calculus, micro and macro economics, etc) and then apply. This often takes at least 2 years to complete. My brother just got accepted to Rutgers business school in New Brunswick from Brookdale community college. He starts this fall.
