I think you could get in

thanks for the reply! can anyone else chance me, or give me advice/tips? much appreciated!!!

That’s awesome that you broke a world record, I think that is a definite hook.

My cousin is going to UC Davis in the fall, I’m pretty sure her SAT score was lower that yours, but she was salutatorian of her high school class.

Q, I see that you are taking 4 AP classes next year, are there any other classes you are taking though? At my school we have 8 periods in a day, how many periods do you have?

Q, Are you in-state? I think it will be slightly easier to get in if you are. Also financial aid is a plus. If you are out of state though and can pay the whole thing that would be a plus too.

I know people with very similar stats who were accepted. I’d say it’s a match.

Just curious, what’s your world record?

Hey! I got a world record for participating in the largest dance (about 400 people at the same time). It was way back in 2007 though :)

@mandyg233:

I’m actually taking 5 classes next year. I’m taking 4 AP classes plus a regular literature class. I’m also in state. Apparently, it’s a lot harder to get in if you’re in state now :/

I feel like my uc gpa is really low though  I was looking at the UC Davis Class of 2018 decisions, and most of them were above 4.1 D:

anyways, i’ll see my chances
Thank you so much for the help!

hmm now that i think about it, is it okay to recount experiences which were not when i was in high school?

I think it’s okay. Probably would have less impact though

I almost guarantee you will get in. The GPA is about average, but your SAT score is very high for Davis.

An easy match! Cool world record though!

Please chance me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1659294-transfer-student-to-american-university.html?new=1

You absolutely should get in though Davis does take into account major and there are a million Bio majors.

If i get good grades (all As) senior year, will they take those grades into account and see how much I’ve improved from junior year? I seriously messed up junior year

But thanks so much for all the feedback! I have a lot more hope now :)

bump
