Hi, I’m a senior in high school applying to chapman for creative producing and i was wondering if anyone could let me know how good of a chance I have at being accepted.
Grade wise I’m a little bit above average with mostly A’s and just a few B’s and I scored a 29 on my ACT. However, extracurricular wise I haven’t done a great deal. I did volleyball (9th), stuco (10th to 12th), key club (11th to 12th), and held two jobs throughout high school (babysitter 9th to 11th and worked at dunkin donuts summer before and beginning of senior year). This year, I’m also a part of the school television station at my school where I’m an anchor and work on a crew to put on the show every monday, wednesday, and friday. I also play guitar and perform concerts for the school with my “rock and roll” class this year. But I don’t and haven’t held any leadership positions which I feel may be an important area I’m lacking in to be a creative producing major.
I’m confident in my college essay and have probably received a pretty good recommendation from my TV teacher but I wasn’t able to apply early action as I didn’t have enough time to complete the application in time and make it good at the same time. I also visited the campus through a self-tour but I’m not sure if could see that I visited if it’s not through a tour guide. I’m also fom New Jersey so I would be an out of state applicant. Please help! I really loved this school and want to know how I can make my application look the best that it can be.
