I took 4 AP classes in 11th grade and 8AP senior year. None in 9 and 10 because my christian private school didn't offer any. I left my school senior year to take more AP classes at an unbrella school, because my guidance counselor said I couldn't spread the gospel becoming a doctor and that i was going to kill myself taking all these classes.

What are the best colleges do you personally think I can get into? No Joking please.

SAT scores are a problem & if not raised may result in rejection depending on what college you are applying to at Cornell.

Given you want to major in Economics, you’d have to apply to CAS. Another option is applying to CALS for their AEM program (Applied Economics & Management), but that has a lower acceptance rate. If you want to maximize your chances, I’d recommend applying to Biology in CALS, and doing the AEM minor. Really, you should apply to whatever college offers you the program that interests you the most. A few percentage points difference in acceptance rate shouldn’t be your focus.

And yes, you really need to retake the SAT and finish the writing section.

I agree. Raise those SATs 100 points and you’ve got a very nice chance for ED.

OK thanks, I hear of 1900 SAT people getting accept? what kind of people are those? African Americans(not trying to be racist), famous people, athletes?

They are usually minority applicants, legacies, recruited athletes, or a child of major donor.
In the event they are not, they usually have some outstanding part of their application- maybe a truly outstanding EC, architecture portfolio, etc.

Only 5-6% of last year’s class had a CR or M score below 600, so given that, there aren’t many with 1900 SAT’s admitted

Hi, if you read, my math is 710 and my CR is 620 on my first try. I didn’t finish the essay so i got 570 for writing.

…I understand that, but you stated that you heard of people with 1900 getting admitted & just wanted to let you know that didn’t happen often.

whatd you get on ap exams?

EDIT: and yeah, if I looked at this and saw a >2200 SAT score, you would have a decent chance at every school. So just get your scores up.

go read silver turtles guide for sat. cornell doesnt look at writing, but it’ll be helpful for other schools

Honest:
AP Eng:3
AP His:3
AP Chem:2 (won’t send) (doesn’t matter, i’m going premed anyways)(teacher did not know chem)
AP Calc AB:4
The other AP’s are current (7)+Dual Enrollment.

I got a 2 on my AP chem score too! I can’t decide if it makes sense to withhold it or just be honest (I was sick on the day of the exam). Plus, I’m taking the Chem SAT II and plan on scoring 700+.

Galaxialto:

It’s really hard for anyone here to give any meaningful advice under the best of circumstances. In your case it’s harder still, since you’ve asked us to essentially throw out your SAT scores.

When you have the scores you think you’re going with, repost.
