Chances of getting in as a 2020 USC Transfer??

My gpa is about a 3.4-3.5 maybe could reach 3.6 by the end of spring semester but I was wondering what my chances were to get into USC for International Relations as a junior with 60+ units and a lot of ec’s, like volunteering in Turkey and interning for a congressman. I really want to go to this school but also don’t want to get my hopes up if its not possible:/

and would taking the SAT/ACT and score proficiently help my chances?

Showing your committment and passion for USC by writing what you will bring to the school is the most important thing you can do. Don’t just write about what it offers you, they know that, explain how you will use it to benefit community, society, etc. It sounds like you have had some very interesting experiences to the table. Explain what you have learned and how you have grown from those, then how you will apply it during your time at USC. The way you express yourself is much more important than a couple tenths of a gpa. With 60 units, an SAT/ACT score won’t add anything at this point.

Statistically, getting into USC is just plain difficult for even those with perfect stats and histories, so don’t put everything into getting in, have a B plan. I am not implying anything negative here, I would say the same thing to the most perfect of applicants. It’s darn competitive these days - you (and everyone else) are competing with people from around the world (that means a lot of great applicants). So be hopeful, but have healthy expectations and plans for either result.
