So I am applying ED for Cornell, and I’m in the average range of applicants, but I don’t think I’m competitive at all.
I have a 32 on the ACT, 1380 on the new SAT, and a 4.1 gpa (although that was calculated on the CSU calculated which capped my ap points). I’ve taken 4 ap tests and I got all 5’s except for one 4. This year I am in four more ap’s and an honors class. I’ve had work in 4 school art shows. I competed in gymnastics for 10 years and went to Regionals in Level 8. I also started cheerleading earlier this year. I volunteer at sacred heart as a volunteer coordinator and I have been a member of key club for 3 years and attended numerous events. I also am an officer at another school club that does volunteer work. I’m a member of CSF and was a member of NHS for one year. I don’t have great subject test scores but I just retook biology and English. I also went to an information session and tour at Cornell but I don’t think they take that into account.
Do I have any chance of getting in?
Unweighted GPA is much more important than weighted GPA. Also, a 32 on the ACT is much better than a 1380, so I would only send the ACT score. Good luck!
