So I know that there are already a lot of other threads like this one, but I want to know my chances of getting into certain colleges and which colleges I would have a high chance of getting into based on my "resume" so far.

Grades:
Freshman year: I had all A's and two weighted classes
Sophomore year: First semester I had 1 B, 1 C, and all the rest were A's. All of my classes at the moment are honors and AP and quite rigorous. Right now during 2nd semester I have all A's and a B+ in the class that I formerly had a C in.

UW GPA at the moment (not including my current 2nd semester grades): 3.8

Extra curriculars:
Part of the school's yearbook since Freshman year and student-run newspaper as of this year.
In Speech and Debate since Freshman year and went to quarter finals both years.
Treasurer of S&D this year, Vice President next year.
Just inducted into NHS.
Merit scholar pianist. Have a current part-time job teaching piano.
Peer tutor in English and History 5 hours a week.
Co-founder of school's Film Club
Co-founder of homeless charity program at school
Internship at law firm

So far what are my chances of getting into Stanford, Harvard, Georgetown, Princeton, or UCLA? What should I do to increase my chances of getting into those schools (in particular Georgetown, Princeton, and Stanford)? What schools do I seem to fit into at the moment?

It’s tough to say without an SAT score, essays, etc. The GPA isn’t bad, but that C is a bit of a blemish. If you keep your GPA high and get a very high SAT score, you have a shot to at least be considered. Try and get involved in worthwhile projects or volunteer work that you really care about to bolster your ECs.

Ah true. Well I’m not sure whether this will help or not but my PSAT was 240, but apparently your sophomore one doesn’t count? I took the bio SAT II after freshman year just to get an idea of what an SAT was like (stupid idea) and got a 760 on it. I’m definitely going to retake it after next year though, because I will have taken a legitimate Bio AP course by the end of junior year.

And I’m thinking of going into political science.

Yeah, sophomore PSAT doesn’t count for National Merit competitions. That’s an amazing score though and if you can replicate it next year on your PSATs and SATs, that’d be very beneficial (obviously).

Very good ECs. C in a class kind of takes you out of the running for HPYSM. GPA is about average, but that’s unweighted (I imagine you aren’t in many AP classes). Your PSAT looks extremely promising, so with a high SAT and AP tests you should definitely be in at Georgetown. Harvard is one of those colleges where you can’t really guarantee anyone, but it looks good so far. You need to raise that GPA though.

Yeah that’s my unweighted GPA. The weighted GPA (I don’t know how my school calculates it) that was printed on my last transcript said 4.5. At the moment I’m taking the maximum amount of AP classes that my high school offers for sophomores (1, ■■■). But next year I’m taking 5 APs, and same with senior year.
Is there any way that I can still get into HPYSM? I’m not really focusing on MIT but Stanford is definitely at the top of my list along with Harvard, Yale, and Princeton.
