Your extracurriculars are AMAZING… but your SAT/ACT may bring you down… You should shoot for an ACT of 30 and an SAT of about 1900/2400 (or 1300/1600)

It also depends on your GPA, that I hear is a pretty big factor, as well as your transcript. Best of luck to you sir

Well, the fact that you are out-of-state may hurt you a little since UF doesn’t accept too many out-of-state students. But you have shown your involvement in extracurricular activities which is super important. That’s good! Try to get your math/critical reading scores up a little bit. UF admits a whole bunch of IB students, so the GPA of accepted students is pretty high.

I agree that Florida does not accept a lot of out of state undergrads. I am one of the lucky ones that got accepted from out-of-state, my stats were:

GPA (Unweighted): 4.0/4.0
GPA (Weighted): 4.40/4.0
Rank: Salutatorian
ACT: 35
SAT Math: 800
SAT Reading: 700
SAT Writing: 700

I don’t want to intimidate you but I know some people that had pretty good stats and didn’t get in… but you had way more ECs and leadership positions than me so that definitely works in your favor.

Thanks for all the help. I’ll definitely try to raise my SAT score and hope for some good luck. Btw do any of you know what a 95 average would be on a 4.0 scale?

scores and oos status are you only liabilities. unfortunately, they aren’t trivial.

also, if a 95/100 average means the same thing as, for instance, getting an A in half your classes and getting a B in the other half, your unweighted GPA would be a 3.5. conversely, if you have that average from getting a 95 in all of your classes, then it would be a 4.0. if you got a C in one class but 100’s in all of your other classes, it wouldn’t be a 4.0. so i don’t know how the scale your grades are based on works, but i would suspect its not immediately convertible to a 4.0 scale.

And my aunt used to be a professor at the university…would that help with my chances of getting in?
