I’m currently a first-semester senior. My dream school for a long time has been Barnard.

I take a lot of rigorous courses, and since I was in 10th grade I have been taking college courses at a CUNY college. I will have taken around 15 college classes by the end of my high school career. My counselor also said that these courses are weighed on the same scale as AP classes, so that’s why my school never offered/encouraged us to take AP courses/tests. (My school is a small competitive early college school in NYC)

Awards: (Lacking here)
First place for scholarship essay partnered with a college, principal’s list every semester, School’s Honor Society, Honor roll for every semester, Does student of the month count? They gave it to me when my house burned down a few months ago but I was still maintaining my grades haha
My grades are not the best, and I don’t want to make any silly excuses but a few months ago we lost our home to a fire and that was during the time I was preparing for my SATs and other college stuff. I kind of became unstable for a while but I’m feeling much better now and doing particularly well in school.
