I'm mostly worried about my grades for applying I have a 4.0 gpa (weighted). I got half Bs half As but I go to Woodward which is a competitve private school. My rank is about 25 out of 260. Will my grades really hurt and rank really hurt me! Please be honest.

yes. you cant get into any of those schools, even if you cure hiv/aids

yikes that sux. I'm only a sophomore tho. But I rly think I can get my gpa up to a 4.2 and my rank to a maybe 10th out of 260. Do you think thatll be better?

You're a sophomore?? Just bring it up this year and do well next year!! You've got time, don't worry. Most schools throw out your freshman grades anyways, and if your grades steadily go up it's seen as a good thing. I mean, not as good as all As, but definitely OK. Just work super hard next year and you'll be fine.

About the rank -- top 10% of your class or above is generally considered "good enough" on these boards, but all As is really needed. I'd say try for all As next year and then as long as you're 26th or better in your class you're doing well. Good luck!! :)

how is half B's/half A's a 4.0? goddamn grade inflation

4.0 Weighted. =] I'm a sophomore too. I'd say increase grades next year =)

Its weighted and my schools extremely hard. They'll be one person maybe two in a grade that will get straight As with honors and AP. Usually if you get str8 As your guaranteed to be val.

I don't know your school. At the really copetitive schools in the country, the top 30 plus percent get into top 10 schools. Talk to a cllege counselor at your school and look at the college book and scattergrams. You'll see who gets in where from your particular school. We also can't begin to comment without SAT scores.
