chances of getting into harvard

i have two siblings who attended harvard. i have a 3.72 gpa and a 2380 on the SAT. for sat subject tests: Math level 1: 800
Math level 2: 800
biology m: 750
us history: 780
chemistry: 750

i didn't do very well first semester sophomore year, and not really freshman year either, thus explaining my low (low for harvard at least) gpa.

i was just wondering if you guys could give me feedback on my chances.

thanks

Beta, what standard are you in? lol, sorry.

Scores are okay, GPA should be higher. Get good recs, do awesome ECs, write a killer essay.

Hope/pray.

i played 3 years of varsity tennis. 1 season of jv (freshman year). i’m captain this year. i played a season of freshman basketball. i’ve played piano for 10 years, and cello for 8 years. i have played in senior district orchestras and at the New England Conservatory.
i’ve been a writer/editor of the school newspaper for 4 years. been part of the student senate for 4 years. science team for 2 years

i realize my chances are slim, but should i even bother applying?

Obviously take the chance! Well actually apps are expensive. But if you get fee waivers apply to every school you want to.

but just wondering, does the fact that i had two siblings go to harvard, and the fact that my mom teaches at the harvard medical school help me at all?

it may but u never know…

I doubt having siblings there will help you. Legacy is a generational thing. Your Mom MIGHT help, but I’m not sure.

Just apply. What’s the worst that can happen?

true that. i second that.

Buy the $75 lottery ticket.
