Interview:went very well with all schools everyone said i’m doing a great job and that i’m a great girl
teacher recommendations:great! everything they said was great about me

extra curriculars: competitive ice skater i compete at nationals. my team was also named team USA which the schools found very impressive
essays: they are very well written and i wrote about my skating
i am also learning spanish, hebrew, and mandarin
what are my chances of getting into these schools?
What school are you coming from? K-8? Another K-12? Public? Moving into city? For HM, did they give you a gender breakdown for 7th? 6th is the largest opening for them. Those ISEE scores are a tad on the lower side. If you want to add another school to ensure you have a spot, maybe add Hewitt in? If you’re at IceHouse or that high level of competition they also might be wary since most of those kids end up having to be home schooled if they continue. I know a relative of an in-law at S who was borderline breakout tennis player and was considering leaving to play the circuit and homeschool was the only option. Interviewer will say nice things bc they want you to submit the application in the end. Maybe ask on urbanbaby.com to get another opinion. You don’t say if you need FA or if your family is mega wealthy, etc which can also affect outcome. Good luck and I hope you get into these schools.
Hi there, fellow competitive figure skater here. I’m not sure what you mean by your team being named team usa? As far as I know, you can get on team usa but you cannot have a team be named team usa (of course, most of my knowledge is focused on freestyle, other disciplines may be different). Do you skate freestyle, pairs, ice dance, or synchro? What level do you compete at?
sorry our team was chosen to be on team usa not named team usa.
