<p>Hopkins is a real reach for you, but being in state you should have an ok shot at the rest.</p>

<p>That SAT score is the main thing hurting you, if you can retake it in two weeks, do so.</p>

<p>Well I'm no expert in this, but I'd say 85% chance of UMD and 20% chance of hopkins.</p>

<p>The killer essay is what gives you the 20% chance, IMO. The SATs really will hurt you, but things like essays give you an ok chance of the admissions people seeing past your scores. The thing is just hopkins is really competetive, where as UMDCP take pretty much all the decent in state students.</p>

<p>Your GPA is good though, there is a shot they'll take you despite the SAT.</p>

<p>You'll still probably get in UMDCP, they're mainly more strict about out of staters.</p>
