Chances of getting into Medill?

<p>I'm applying ED to Medill this fall. Here are my credentials:</p>

<p>Full IB Student junior and senior year
GPA: 4.0 unweighted
Class rank: 1 of 272
ACT score: 32 composite
Math - 34
English - 34
Reading - 33
Science - 28 </p>

<p>ECs:
- Key Club since 10th grade. Treasurer in 10th grade and President 11th and 12th grade.
- ASB Executive Vice President
- volunteer/secretary for a nonprofit organization for finding homes for low-income people
- volunteer at a nursing home
- volunteer at the Foodbank and the Food bank Garden
- Total volunteer hours: Around 600
- Internship for PUD Commissioner
- 2 Varsity letters in Soccer (3 years of participating)
- 3 Varsity letters in Track (I expect to letter in my senior year too)
- Club soccer for 2 years (in high school)
- Won high-school writing competition 9th grade year
- Went to Tanzania for 2 weeks to volunteer 10th grade year</p>

<p>I don't have any Journalism ECs though :( will this greatly hinder my chances of getting in?</p>

<p>As long as you can explain passionately your choice of choosing Medill Journalism, this lack of ECs in this area should not affect (my personal view). You have a pretty good shot.</p>
