Chances of getting into michigan

I'm pretty sure you guys know how these types of threads work, so here some credentials:
Class rank (unweighted only): 27/332
Unweighted gpa: 3.96
Weighted gpa: 4.58
Rigor: all honors classes freshman and sophomore year. Currently pursuing IB diploma
ACT: 26 (definitely retaking)
EC: Member of local youth orchestra, cross country and track runner, tutor kids japanese every Friday night during the school year, NHS member (probably isn't a notable quality), involved in science Olympiad, and help the tennis coaches at the local YMCA with errands and coaching youngsters.

Ya that ACT score is really ugly, and I'm definitely studying for the June 8th test...

Your GPA is fine while your ACT definitely needs improvement. The mid 50 is 29 to 33. So you should try to get 31+ for a better chance.

Yeah, just improve that ACT to a 31 or greater, and you should be set.

Are you in state? And what is your intended major? These factors would also affect your chance. The acceptance rate for 2012 was 37%. So there is no guarantee to get in even if you have just met the average ACT score of 31. You should aim for the 75% for a better chance. Ross and CoE will have higher requirement.
