Getting into the University of Michigan?

Hi I'm going to be a senior in high school next year and will be applying to colleges. I'm originally from Michigan and my first choice is the University of Michigan. I am currently ranked 1st in my class with a 4.23 weighted gpa and a 4.0 unweighted gpa. By the time I'm done with high school, I'll have taken 10 AP courses. I just took the ACT and I got a 29, but I am planning to take it again. I did club gymnastics for 11 years and did high school gymnastics my freshman and sophomore year, but I got injured so I am no longer doing it. Now I volunteer at a local hospital, work with special olympics, in yearbook, volunteer at a local food bank, and tutor. I also am doing a 2 week summer program at Miami University this summer, did a leadership program at Disney World, and have received multiple leadership awards. What are my chances of getting into Michigan?

I think you will be accepted. Your GPA, course load, and EC’s are good. Your ACT is on the low end, but I still think you’ll get in. Improving your ACT will just increase your chances.

Chance back

Are you still in Michigan? Your GPA is good but your ACT is right at the 25%. If you are in state, you should have no problem getting in. If you are oos, it would be a low reach to LSA and reach to CoE. Try to bring up your ACT at least 2-3 points if you are from oos.

I am no longer doing a summer program at Miami.
