I have been thinking about Tisch for awhile now and really want to know if I even have a chance...

I went to a private high school. My cumilative GPA was about 3.0. I was not an impressive student. I graduated with a Core40 dimploma.

I am currently attending a public (state) college. My current GPA is a 3.4. Freshman year it was 3.75. An internship brought my GPA down horribly followed by a less than stellar semester.

I intend to bring my GPA back up to a 3.8 and have straight A's this semester. I am currently getting involved in local theater productions, I am a marketing officer for the film club on campus and founder/president of an animal rights organization (we have several things planned).

This past summer I was heavily involved in an independent film, one that is being considered to premiere at Sundance.

Now onto the negative....straight B's last semester, and an internship at a local news station that left the employees thinking I was not worthy of their time. The real story is probably irrelevant.

I have had little to no acting experience, however people from the time I was a child told me my performances were always excellent. I know I possess natural talent.

After this semester I am "dropping out," with the intention of moving to New York where I will be signing with a modeling agency- not something I want to do for a very long time. I also plan on soaking up the world of theater, completely immersing myself, starting at the bottom, and getting on a stage. This will likely last for a year-year and a half, at which point I hope to be accepted into NYU.

Something else I thought I should mention- I am an excellent writer.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate any advice.
